today things

Lunch at Stella's with Mamaw & Papaw. Leaving, it's the first time I've seen you put your hands in the pocket of a jacket and walk along with your hands tucked in.

Later, when we got home you walked in and casually said "hi Oscar," never breaking stride.
the dog splayed out on the living room floor.

The Dream of Life

Today, Libby Lee woke up from her nap and standing in that post-nap daze at my office door, she suddenly proclaimed: "That man was so funny!" Lucy and I both inquired: "What man?" and I tried to remember some funny man we might have encountered. Then I thought to ask: "Did you dream about a funny man?" and Libby Lee immediately responded: "Yeah." I asked again: "There was a funny man in your dream?" and again she said: "Yeah!"

So that's kinda fun. I've always loved dreams and dreaming. In 2nd grade my teacher called me a daydreamer. I've been curious when Libby Lee would begin to recognize her own dreams.
